The NLCS Community
NLCS is a community for life and the School’s relationship with its pupils extends far beyond their time at Canons.
ONLs are a unique and dynamic group of women whose careers and life experiences span an incredible array of sectors, choices and countries. Whatever their age, there is an instant bond amongst ONLs and an amazing willingness to support each other.

Through The Old North Londoners’ Association (ONLA), we help ONLs to keep in touch with each other at special events and reunions, to maintain links with the School and, via the Career Networking Service, to receive or offer career assistance. Membership is free and open to all past pupils of the School.
Meet our Alumnae & Development Officers
Carolina Jayson (ONL 1991)
I joined the team at the end of 2015 and was so delighted to be back at NLCS after so many years! I have such great memories of the School and am still close friends with many of my classmates. My career background is in the telecoms industry, and I hope to be able to make use of my experience through getting to know others in the ONL community.
I am stunned by all the improvements here and the expansion of the facilities. I have 2 young children who will love having the opportunity to run around the same grounds I ran around 30 years ago, during summer holiday camps here. I recommend any ONLs to contact us and come and have a look for themselves.
Poorvi Smith (ONL 1991)
I am an ONL and mother to a 10 -year-old daughter. I have worked in the Alumnae Office for five years, and previously worked in the advertising and marketing industry. I returned to NLCS for my 20 year reunion and very quickly fell back in love the School - so much so that I began working here the following year. I still find it difficult to go into the staffroom and have to remind myself that in my forties, I am allowed to go there without getting into trouble!
Whilst I secretly still harbour a dream to become Prime Minister, my role in the Alumnae Office keeps me busy. I particularly enjoy running the Career Networking Service and never cease to be amazed at the incredible careers that NLCS girls go on to do.
