On Wednesday 14th June, North London hosted the annual Harrow Swimming Gala, in which several schools took part in both the boys’ and girls’ categories, such as Nower Hill and Sacred Heart. Our own girls from Years 7-10 had been training for this event for weeks, especially as it is known throughout the squad to be one of the greatest highlights of the swimming calendar. And indeed this year did not disappoint; the atmosphere of the event was one of cheering, support and sportsmanship, and every girl swam their best. Their hard work and passion really shone through when the results were revealed, with NLCS proving victorious in every age group, before then going on to become the overall girls’ school winner. Thanks must go to Mrs Kiernan, the P.E. department and the Sixth Form helpers, all of whom dedicated their time to organising and running a fun and successful event!
