The Junior School Drama Department sparkles with talent and enthusiasm and usually a whole lot of glitter! Opportunities abound in the First School where our youngest girls enjoy dressing up and indulging in the glitz and excitement of events such as their Christmas Play, the Founder’s Day Play and their assemblies. More formal Drama teaching begins in the Lower School with a weekly lesson for each class. There are also drama and dance clubs on offer throughout the Lower School.
Every girl also takes part in a production annually and these are often ambitious musical extravaganzas, such as an amazing rendition of “Guys and Dolls.” We are privileged to be able to perform in the Performing Arts Centre and the girls have this exciting experience on several occasions throughout their time in the Junior School. The wealth of opportunities afforded to the girls means that they leave the Junior School with an impressive degree of poise, maturity and presence and are able to rise to the challenges ahead of them with confidence, excitement and certainty.
Class assemblies are a regular event to which parents are invited to.
